FARO unveils new Leap ST handheld scanner
FARO Technologies, Inc. has taken it to a new level with the release of FARO Leap ST’s handheld scanning machine. The new handheld solution expands the company’s product portfolio, making FARO one of the few companies that offers customers the full range of portable 3D metrology devices. This strengthens the presence of FARO in the entire manufacturing sector, where speed and accuracy are key.
Leap ST has five powerful modes of operation: ultra-fast scanning, ultra-fine scanning, deep hole scanning, large area scanning, and photogrammetry. As a tool of the metrology level, it excels in measuring and testing various surfaces and parts. The design is compact, portable and suitable for several industries and applications.
In addition, FARO improved its 3D metrology software offering with a CAM2 update. The software now includes five custom versions that meet specific production measurement requirements. CAM2 now offers capabilities for scanning devices and probing devices, as well as a hybrid approach that integrates probing and scanning for solutions such as FaroArm with laser line probes.
