The 3D scanning and data processing software platform, which until recently received special improvements, is gaining even more power in its latest version, Artec Studio 17.1. While there are other major updates planned for the upcoming release of Artec Studio 18 over the next year, this version offers you exciting photogrammetry capabilities that go well beyond high-end metrology.
The advanced functionality can be unlocked using the plug-in found in AS 17.1. Contributing to a complete workflow of photogrammetry and 3D scanning in the Artec ecosystem, the plugin provides software support for Areth’s brand-new photogrammetry solution, the Artec Metrology Kit (Artec Metrology kit), designed to guarantee ultra-high accuracy over large surface areas.
There are also many other improvements in this latest version of Artec Studio that set it apart from the previous one.
Now you can easily export several different types of objects — mesh, sections, CAD models, and more — directly to SOLIDWORKS. Now transformations from CAD to “mesh” are also possible.
The new “Distance map” feature allows you to set tolerance values when comparing “mesh” with the CAD model and analyze offsets with color-coded labels that clearly show which parts of your “mesh” do not meet the specifications.
