Artec 3D Provides Luxembourg’s Cultural Heritage at World Expo 2025
Artec 3D is pleased to announce its participation in the creation of the Luxembourg Pavilion for the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
In collaboration with dedicated specialists Virtual Rangers, Artec 3D helps highlight Luxembourg’s cultural heritage by creating an impressive, interactive visitor experience using state-of-the-art 3D scanning technologies. The pavilion, built around the theme of “Doki Doki” – the Japanese expression for an excited, beating heart – will highlight Luxembourg’s dynamic culture and achievements.
As part of this prestigious project, Artec 3D has been tasked with digitizing the main elements of the pavilion and ensuring that its essence can be explored both on site and remotely.
Using its world-renowned 3D scanning and photogrammetry solutions, Artec 3D creates high-resolution digital twins from iconic historical and cultural sites from across Luxembourg. The resulting highly detailed 3D models will be presented in the pavilion, where they will allow visitors to discover the rich history of the country as if they were physically there.
Virtual Rangers contribute by integrating these digital resources into the virtual reality environment that will be available for exploration on the Luxembourg Pavilion’s website and smartphone app.
“We are honored to present Luxembourg’s history and culture on a global stage at the World’s Fair 2025,” said Art Juhin, President and CEO of Artec 3D. “With our advanced 3D scanning technology, we strive to preserve and share the essence of Luxembourg, making it accessible to audiences far beyond the exhibition.”
This cooperation not only celebrates Luxembourg’s past, but also demonstrates its role as a future leader in digital innovation. The incorporation of Artec 3D knowledge into the development of the pavilion also underscores the country’s commitment to preserving its heritage through the use of state-of-the-art technologies. It is expected that with the help of the pavilion, visitors will be able to explore and appreciate the treasures of Luxembourg in a completely new way, both in Osaka and abroad.
