IDS GeoRadar Announces New IBIS-FM EVO C
2022. In December, IDS GeoRadar, part of Hexagon, announced the release of the interferometric radar IBIS-FM EVO C for monitoring long-range structures and slopes, which offers the highest transportability. The IBIS-FM EVO C is the latest solution designed for simple deployment, which provides greater installation flexibility and the highest monitoring performance thanks to its new compact power supply.
Thanks to the compact size and light weight of the power supply module (less than 30 kg), this InSAR radar can be easily installed and moved, ensuring maximum freedom of placement. This new compact configuration is an ideal solution for installation in a limited space environment, as it provides greater freedom of placement and the highest efficiency in the supervision of the structure.
With a maximum scanning range of up to five kilometers, the IBIS-FM EVO C is designed to measure submillimeter shifts in real time with the highest data quality. The radar is equipped with a powerful radar sensor, combined with the new “free-running” data mining technique (patented) to significantly improve the quality and reliability of the data obtained, allowing you to make more informed decisions.
The IBIS-FM EVO C is designed to optimize the power supply even in the most difficult conditions. In addition to the lightweight power supply module, an additional battery pack can extend the autonomy of the system from 2h to 24h, providing the highest radar monitoring performance in analyzes of complex structures.
“IBIS-FM EVO C is a complete solution to effectively check the condition of structures in regular inspections with non-destructive testing methods,” says Francesco Boskagli, Radar application surveillance radar engineer at IDS GeoRadar. “Professionals who perform both structural and slope monitoring can benefit from a more flexible solution capable of operating in a confined space environment, and their tasks are supported by an easy-to-deploy radar system that provides greater efficiency in radar data extraction.”
