Why is camera synchronization so important?
As a rule, autopilot starts the camera and records the coordinates that it has at that moment. When the drone flies at 20 m/s and the GPS runs at 5 Hz, it means that your autopilot will only have position readings every 4 m, which is not suitable for an accurate georeference. In addition, there is always a delay between the activator and the actual moment the photo was taken.

Reach eliminates delays
Reach solves the positioning problem by connecting directly to the camera port, which is synchronized with the shutter. The time and coordinates of each photo are recorded with a resolution of less than a microsecond. This method allows you to use GCP only to verify your accuracy.

NTRIP or other Reach as a base station
To calculate the exact coordinates of centimeters PPK and RTK, corrections from the base station are required in Reach. This could be another Reach receiver or NTRIP service. VRS is also supported.

Compatibility
Reach M2 and M+ work seamlessly with other Reach receivers via any link and are compatible with any other receiver that supports RTCM3 and NTRIP.
